Top 3 affordable 7-Eleven lunches in Pasig that tastes decent to good
Inflation just hit 6.3% in the Philippines, as per the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), and even President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. denies it, we are all doomed as prices get high, including our lunch money. If you are always on-site for work like me, thinking of a menu every day is tricky. Especially, when all you have to spare is about P150 daily. Most food joints here are plenty-a-fancy and do not cater to the average working woman/man.
But you don't have to starve yourself to death when you only have less than P100 in your pockets or your mom forgot to cook your lunch for work the next day. Because convenience stores, especially 7-Eleven, bring you some of their cheap lunches.
Here are three rice meals to choose from:
- Hotta Rice! Liempo - P85
Despite the popularity of plant-based foods or alternative meat selections, I'm not really a veggie person. I really love meat which is why this 7 eleven pick saved me from my hunger. I only had P100 left in my wallet, aside from my savings, so I decided to try this Hotta Rice! Liempo meal. It tasted decent as it was somewhat salty probably due to the soy sauce. Its chili sauce wasn't that spicy but all in all, if you want food to get you through the day, this is worth the try.
For P85, you can grab one of these and satisfy your meat cravings without spending too much.
Although I have to be honest, P85 isn't cheap but with the inflation, it's the cheapest already.
Disclaimer: Don't be fooled by the atsara tho, it doesn't have one.
- Lasagna - P100
Who says you can't be fancy with just P100 in your wallet? This lasagna from 7 eleven is a really good pick especially if you're saving some cash to buy a new dress and at the same time on a diet to wear that new dress. The lasagna is pretty good. It melts in your mouth and is pretty decent. It's really good if you buy two lasagnas when one isn’t enough.
- Manam's Sisig - 128
My neck almost burst trying to eat this or as they say in Filipino, “Sakit sa batok.” Manam’s Sisig is a gift from the Pampanga gods, no mayonnaise with garlic rice. When I first looked into it, I was puzzled by the lack of soy sauce and calamansi but then it really did prove me wrong because it is already flavourful without those condiments.
